Be on the cutting edge of what nursing forensics means to your practice. Hear world-renowned educator and author, and first known Graduate Forensic Nurse Attorney, Constance A. Morrison discuss the forensic nursing aspects of your practice. Discussion will include using the appropriate medico-legal terminology and forensic evidence collection and documentation in all areas of practice. Be able to ensure forensic compliance with the legal, civil and human rights of your clients.

Cultural Competency for the Healthcare Professional
With increasing diversity, clinicians encounter patients of different cultural backgrounds who hold a broad range of perspectives regarding health. The culturally competent healthcare professional is more effective in providing patient centered care by improving communication and compliance, resulting in higher success rates in health outcomes. In this three hour course, a foundation for cultural competence in healthcare will be established. Self awareness about one's own perspective regarding health, knowledge and respect for different cultural beliefs, and building communication skills are the main objectives of this course.
