Concord – NHTI, Concord's Community College, welcomes everyone to join the events and exhibits our own Rad Tech students have assembled to commemorate National Radiologic Technology Week. November marks the anniversary of the discovery of x-rays in 1895 by German physicist Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen. New Hampshire celebrates radiologic history with special excitement, since the first use of x-rays in the U.S. was here at Dartmouth College. From November 3rd thru 7th, a collection of radiological equipment from the Rad Tech program here, as well as items on loan from area hospitals, will be on display in the Library lobby. The exhibit includes curious articles from the early days of x-rays, and a great scrolling photo show of the x-ray world of today. Even better, current students of radiologic technology will be available to answer questions about the careers they are so actively pursuing. An informational table in the Student Center will be manned Tuesday through Thursday from noon to 2 pm. For those students who may not yet be sure in what direction their general studies are leading, let these soon-to-be professionals share their enthusiasm for a calling that can lead to many different occupations: X-ray, CT scan, ultrasound, MRI, and mammography just to get your imagination piqued. Even the casual visitor to any of these great exhibits can get in on the raffles! NHTI celebrates the future of radiologic sciences with continuing commitment from an outstanding academic and support staff, an exceptional pass rate from students taking the National Registry exam, and ongoing improvements to the equipment on which the students train. Come on over and check out the Rad Techs in their cranberry scrubs and see what the buzz is all about! Attachments:
